What is the best way or what to use to take marks from the grey carpet type ceiling material.

folex is good. It's available at HomeDepot in the gallon size jugs.. We use it in our rental houses in the carpet cleaning machines.

A mild bleach-based detergent would be my first choice, e.g. OxyClean. If that isn't sufficient to the task, look to specialty cleaning products like the Folex.

Better to let it set awhile then see how well the product works

Hydrogen peroxide is a very good cleaner / spot remover especially for any organic stains. Red wine & blood stains literally disappear w H2O2.
I have used it on carpets furniture and clothing... the usual caveat of test in an inconspicuous site but I have not found any of the above that it affected the material or color other than cleaning & brightening it.
