My water tank is behind the rear axle. When I fill mine up the coach wanders some. But if I put at least 1/2 tank in the grey tank which is in front of the rear axle it improves the handling. So I either travel empty or with some water in both fresh and grey tanks.

this misinformation is why you need to use the search feature on this forum. There are alot of scary things printed here and you need to get it right. Your coach has to be weighed when loaded to get the right tire pressure. Do the search and get educated!!!!!!!!!

Never travel with less then half full and usually closer to full. There is no reason to caught without water. The coach is built for carrying the water. My gassers always handled better with the additional weight/ballast. And on the DP the extra 2,3,500 pounds of water is negligible on 30, 40 and 50,000 pounds of RV.

I almost always start with a full tank. You never know when you might need more than you had planned. I don't understand why people do not like to carry a full tank of water. There certainly is no mpg gain by having a near empty tank. I am on our 8th motorhome from a 32' gas to our 43' DP and have always left with a full tank, even for the shortest one or two night stay. Sometimes I was very glad we did. IMHO It just doesn't make sense to be unprepared for the possibility of needing more water than you planned for.

In three years full-time we have lost our outside water source three times. Twice in a commercial CG and once while in a USFS volunteer site. We always maintain at least a half tank. Sometimes more if we are going to be without hookups for a couple of days.

When out and check water today
I put sume water in my tank when in and
check. It would not show, so went around
to the pass side and it look half fool. I think it holds 94 gal.
I pulled the vale and water came out under the tank
I thought it would come out where black and gray came out.
Whats the deal on that. Ok two dogs and two peopleWhats the deal

What are the reasons for not filling up? I fill up whenever I can for unforseen boondock, walmart or truck stop overnight. I don't think it makes any significant difference for MPG and I agree that the MH will handle better. So go for it and stop thinking about it.
