CAT 3621B Air Filter removal

I have a CAT 3126B diesel. Can any one tell me how to remove the air filter.

The chassis manufacturer dictates the air filter make model and placement most of the time. You might want to move your posting to that specific forum or at least let us know what chassis the coach is on. Enjoy!

My 3126 is on a Freightliner XC chassis. With that being said, how to remove it.

loosen the big hose clamp in the inlet end and slide the inlet flexible pipe out of the way. Loosen the big hose clamp on the outlet side (motor side) and slide the elbow pipe off the filter. Loosen and un-clip the two bands that hold the filter in the filter rack. These two bands are like a latch on a ceder chest or old tool box (sorry for no better description)
Drag that big sucker out....all there is to it.

It looks bigger and badder than it really is

If this is your first time installing a new filter there are a few things that must be followed to insure a proper install.
