Cat vs. Cummins (alphabetically)

Anyone care to weigh in on preferences between these two? Specifically Cat 3176 and Cummins L10. Both approximately 10 liters. Compare longevity, maintenance, power per liter, fuel economy, and anything else you care to! Are they different shades of yellow?
Thanks for any and all opinions,
Jon

It's hard to say, Roadog...I've owned both and I like both. Probably the most positive thing about the Cummins is that they're still building engines for Motorhomes, while Cat has gotten out of the motorhome business due to emission requirements, etc. You'll hear a lot of Pro & Con on here about which engine is the best, but all I can say is that I like the Cat 350 that I now drive.

Both are good engines. Lots of repair centers and lots of spare parts. Just keep em serviced and they will last longer than the motorhome.
