2008 HR Navigator recently purchased w/out CB unit. The build chart identifies it exist. CB antenna is mounted. Have looked and looked under the driver's side dash above the pedals. Does anyone have any idea where else to look?

Two places to check. On many Monaco coaches, there is a panel on top of the instrument cluster that is removable. It lets you look behind the cluster. Occasionally, it can be found there.

The second place is the panel along your left leg while seated in the driver's seat. At the very front of the panel, under the dash, it's open and the wiring is often stuffed in there.

My guess that the antenna end is in a coil up underneath the dash. I took a quick look at the 2008 brochure and I would guess it is behind the center panel where the radio and AC controls are located. I would remove this panel and take a look behind.

If that fails try getting a Fox & Hound tracer to try and find the end of the antenna wire.

Have looked in both of these areas. No wire coil for the CB antenna is located. thank you for your suggestion.

Have also looked in this area as well. The automatic window motor stopped working, and had the entire panel off, along with the seat being removed and had a good opportunity to locate but without success. Thank you for your time. We have a fox and hound trazer that we can utilize, but thought that the wiring for the CB is a shielded cable, and are not sure if this will work. If you know differently, please advise.

You might contact HR and ask them,

Contact Holiday Rambler

Use the center column to ask your question.

I've done this with my Windsor and they have responded very quickly.

I would also recommend getting a complete copy of the wiring diagrams on PDF if you don't already have, including a copy of the chassis wiring. Very good for trouble shooting since you can zoom in and do a search for specific words.

Are you sure that the antenna is for a CB and not for the AM/FM radio?

That includes Winnebago's. I found mine bundled on another wiring harness under the removable dash cover. That only after laying on my back/side/upside down trying to see under the dash. I also found the 12V CB wiring stubbed out, bundled with the Antenna coax.

Do people still use CB radio? I thought that fad had pretty well run its course and died.

I found my CB very useful in traffic jams. Truckers will tell what's going on and even sometimes which is the best lane to get in.

Ditto: I remember the glossys saying something about CB prep and found out this did not mean antenna. There was just a couple of power wires dangling around the left side of the steering column.

A picture of your antennas may help confirm this.

Turn your radio to a weak station and then remove the antenna. If the signal goes away you will know.

Because there are areas of our country without cell towers. Waze does not allow you to be notified of a recent crash a mile ahead, unless someone immediately behind them is fast at texting while driving.
