Some time ago channel 13 was promoted by some for RVers. I'll bet you have a hard time finding an RVer to talk to.

Years ago when you had to have a license and the FCC monitored and enforced CB rules and regulations I was on quite a bit. Had a base station and talked from home. When they dropped the license and monitoring people started using the huge linear amplifiers and the profanity became totally unbearable.

So why don't we take over channel 13. IRv2 has lots of members. We must see each other on the road sometimes.

I'm game, my buddy John and I use seven when we travel but that was an arbitrary decision, we can switch, if we have to, we guess.

When we travel in groups on the motorcycles (Goldwings) we use channel 1 or 3.
I actually still have my "old" Midland 23 channel from the '70s. I'm going to put it in the MH. 13 sounds good to me.

We travel with two others, and use channel eight. It would be great to all use one channel. Lets get that started.

I run with two CB's when on freeway

19, which has served me quite well, story follows
and 13 which is the "Good Sam's" Channel. I don't think I have ever talked to anyone on 13 save when at a Good Sam's event.

The story:
Was headed south last fall coming up on exit 76 (I-75) heard about 2 fatal accidents about 3 miles ahead on Chan 19.

Hit the exit, got to the traffic light at the top just as the police closed the entrance.. Spent a nice peaceful night in a nearby wal-mart and continued (Clear roads) after breakfast.

Would have been HOURS in a traffic jam without chan 19.

I am in for channel 13!!! Now how do we pass this on so that everyone gets on our wagon? I would really like to find a way to promote this and get everyone on the same page!

My last experience (a long time ago) has very limited range on the CB. For those of you who use it, what kind of range do you experience?
