One advantage of having gotten into 2-way radio back in the 1960s is I have a few of them.. So I have one CB on 19 and another on 13 most all the time (19 has the better antenna).

I have only heard traffic (Talking) on 13 once or twice and not in English

On 19 I have had several occasions where my life has been improved due to what I heard... (Information about accidents up ahead of me) This is why I monitor 19 with the good antenna.

It is very rare for me to pick up a CB microphone though (I use the Ham Radio all the time though).

Home is where I park it!

Looking forward to hear a fellow RVer !! So far my channel 13 has been silent ! I listen and have tried to call a fellow rver while on the road. To date I have yet to hear or talk to someone other than our traveling companion. Yes we use channel 13 because it seems it is a quiet channel. Maybe we are in an area where 13 is not preferred??

OK, I'm going to be listening on 13, but maybe I'll try a call into the wild once in a while to see if anyone else is listening. The few times I've had the CB on it has been on 19 to listen for traffic congestion comments. Wife quickly gets irritated, and orders me to turn it down (or off).

As to the "13" sticker, I might try that on the rear of the motorcoach. Many times I've wanted to chat with RVers who seem to be traveling for miles on our route.

Could someone come up with some sort of sticker or decal with the irv2 "logo" on it so we'd sort of know if we see each other?
See here: "CB13" Decals for all RV's SURVEY for irv2 cb13 decals. And malexander theoretically, an older cb should still work it just won't have the upper 13 channels.
