We always monitor channel 13 and have for several years. It still has the trucker conversation, however. I think most of the time they do it just to aggravate us RVers. But, keep the volume low and turn it down when they start. It's usually only one or two at a time and eventually they shut-up. If need be, we usually just talk over them.

Again, Why? If I don't know you I sure don't want to touch you. It would interfere with my audio books that keep me alert and attentive rolling down the road.

My CB is seldom on, but when it is it's to find out why all the brake lights ahead. Once a trucker motioned me to get on the CB and he told me my kayak had been blown almost sideways by high winds. I couldn't see it on the monitor because of deep shadows. That's what I use it for, not listening to cursing or flirting truck drivers or gossiping with others that travel in RVs.

I like this channel 13 idea.
We did away with our CB radio in our last motorhome because all we got was foul mouthed truck drivers on channel 19 rambling on for hours.
If everyone starts using channel 13 maybe I'll have to buy a new CB for our current RV. I would love to give a pleasant hello to other travelers as we pass along the road.
