CC build quality

For the most part - where would Country Coach (mid 2000's) rate in build quality 1 to 10

I would agree with Batman ... 8 or better, and they normally have gadgets/features that most other brands do not.

Just remember one thing. They are no longer in business and all assets are being liquidated by the courts. Don't expect any support or parts for one of their coaches...JM2CW !

Most parts will be from third parties anyway. However, the Dynomax chassis and coach body panels will be unique and probably no longer available. Drivetrains, suspension, appliances and such are all likely to be readily available, industry standard parts.

I've always thought Country Coach made some very nice looking RVs, but I never did get to liking the Veranda with the side mounted patio. If my ship ever came in I would look seriously at Country Coach, it's too bad they went under. Maybe someone will be able to get them going again.

Another sad story is Beaver Coach... One of the best coaches ever built; however, as part of Monaco, they were dragged under and are no more.

Tiffin has been getting good marks
I have a Fleetwood, no complaints, no problems

Lots of RV manufacturers have come and gone over the years and we have survived. Sometimes it makes it a little tougher, but heck, we RVers are a tough bunch and can muddle through all of the issues. I own and Alpine and they went under a couple of years ago. We have a great support group on this site and can accomplish anything.

CC's in the '05-'06 range had some serious exterior skin de-lamination issues, particularly on the slides. Inspect carefully.

Beaver had gone downhill long before Monaco got them (as part of Safari Motorcoach). Beaver was unable to make it on its own, became part of Safari and shared the Safari slide toward quality problems and bankruptcy, then got further watered down as just another badge in the Monaco line.

Marques come and go in the RV industry all too rapidly.

Hadn't heard about any problems with delam; they -- as well as a number of other makers -- had problems with paint checking (looks like fibers when very close to the rig) in the dark paint...this was just cosmetic.

Ignoring bus conversions, I woudl place them at 8+.

The great thing is that if you are buying one today you can use the fact that they are now orphans as leverage in your negotiations.

For lots more info check out the user group on yahoo(http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/...wners/messages).

If on a scale of 1 to 10, CC is an 8, what would be a 10? I'm talking production line RVs.
