That sounds familiar , I have installed a Safety Alert , and may still have the instructions and warranty paper work. I'll repost in the AM.

Is this the one with a gas shutoff valve? If so, Red is 12v+, Black is 12v- (ground), white and black/white stripe go to the solenoid gas valve (white is solenoid+ side). It is my understanding you must use the Safe-T-Alert solenoid in place of the CCI solenoid.

The Safe-T-Alert comes with instructions in the manual, If you don't have the manual for that model, you can find them at https://www.safehomeproducts.com/shp...ing/80/80.aspx
Find your model and then click the link for "product manual".

Thanks for the link , Gary , I tracked my paper work and my model 40 ; Safe-T-Alert ; has only 2 wires so my info was of no help.
