Ceiling light replacement

Hello!

I'm about to start updating some things on my 1999 Newmar Dutch Star. One of the items are the old style Thin Line 742 16 watt florescent lights in the ceiling. As they have a cut out and a larger size, I'm wondering what others have done to replace them with something more modern?

I dont want to simply replace the bulbs with LED, I'm thinking new fixtures.

Anyone done something similar?

Thanks!

I am replacing my Thin-lite flourescent with LED from Thin-Lite .
They are the LED766P3 which is a direct replacement for the stock Itasca Meridian/Winnebago Journey 2005 and other year models.
I had to order 5 (even though I only needed three }to get the 3k lamps I wanted as they are a much better color.

They should arrive next week.

I will have two for sale after I get Them and I will post them in the classifieds at that time.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Noticed that you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!

We replaced the florescent tubes with LED strips! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I replaced 12 florescent tubes with strip lighting from

https://hitlights.com/collections/pr...nt=42811222020

Total cost with connectors was less than $50. Very simple and fast conversion.

I went to Walmart and bought LED tube bulbs exact fit.It took no more than a few minutes to change them out. We have been using them for about 9 months with great results.

I wanted the dimmer control that is built in on the Thin-lite replacements. Along with the 3000 light temp.
