Change to Transynd

I know I seen posts on this before but I can't seem to find it now. I plan to change from regular transmission fluid to Transynd on my 2001 300 Cat with the 3000MH transmission. I plan to drain the transmission and change both filters and refill with Transynd. I plan to run this for one year and do the same thing again. I believe that I can then go to the extended Transynd maintenance schedule of 50K (?) miles. My question is on the second fluid change do I need to change the filters again? Also, is my approach logical on this?

You can go to the extended schedule AFTER the second change, not before.

As I remember you should change filters at both changes.

I did and I recommend you do also. You are. Enter then half way there when you drain the fluid. You know the old ounce of prevention ...
