Changing out a TV

Has anyone have some hints for removing the TV from the front dash? We have a 1997 National Seabreeze. We want to install newer TV but cannot figure out how to get the old TV out?? This is our first RV if you cannot tell by this question...LOL We opted for an older model to begin our adventure before jumping in with both feet.

Scroll down to the National owners forum, then do a search, TV, or flatscreen several good post with pictures.. Is yours above the dash or in the dash??

Opps, I went to the National site and could not find the past posts on this.. Someone had some great pictures of the process..
If yours is overhead I can help you, just let me know.

Look for "wood buttons" that hide screws. Pop out the button. Otherwise look for signs of where the "trim" could be attached. Usually hidden screws. Once the trim is removed, it should be apparent how to remove the TV.

I have a 2003 daybreak with older TVs also. I just removed the molding around the front , then found two holding screws.

I'm sorta of a jack of all trades master of none , so I like to tinker with things to see if I could fix it myself

Sometimes the screws that hold the molding come in from the side, inside other cabinets.

I just did my 2000 Seabreeze. There are two screws on each side of the tube in the outside cabinets. Yours should be similar.

Overhead. Moved the two outside doors over an 1/8" and fit a 26" ( I believe) Viso in its place.

Chuck- I think you asked how to drill through a mirror. There are special drill bits made to drill glass, but most mirrors you would find in an RV are not drillable, too thin or tempered.

Our TV is in the dash not overhead and no bolts. I saw a post on another forum that said it was not bolted in, just lift and slide. Apparently sits in the plastic molded piece that is part of the dash. We are going to try it next week. Keep you fingers crossed. LOL
