Changing the porch light

Hi all, we have a Itasca Meridian 36M (2013). One of the porch lights are out and am planning to change the light bulb.
There is no screw to take the cover out. I see couple of tiny slots which i am thinking is to insert screw driver in and pup it open. I tried this but it is tight and I am afraid to break the plastic/glass cover.
Please advise.

I can't enlarge the picture of your coach enough to be sure but I think the lens is like mine. 2 1/2" X 5" rectangular. If so ; yes you have to pry the lens off at the area of the tabs and there is a possibility of breakage.
Depending on the age and sun ( or freezing temp ) exposure these lenses do get brittle, wait for temps in the 70 degree range if possible , to try removing, replacement lenses are available in clear and amber, at almost every RV parts store.

Good luck.

Mine is the same light and it did crack when I pried it off at the slots. It was really brittle so should have waited until the sun was on it to warm it up??

Should be able to squeeze it top and bottom with your hand and it should come off

If it breaks it breaks. Suggest you do the bulb exchange/maintenance after returning from a trip when time will allow you to get a new replacement porch lite if needed. Could upgrade to one with motion sensor and get LED bulbs so you don't have to do this again anytime soon.
Worked for me when I replaced all bulbs to LEDs.

My apologies, Nxkharra ... that light fixture is quite different from what I thought you might have. I've never seen that kind of fixture before. Sorry for the bad info. /ken (good luck)

Yes, we were all incorrect. I still think if you press upward on the bottom near the tabs it will pop out moving towards the top.(But I am guessing).

The chrome part of the light is separate from the lense. Pry out at the bottom corners and it will come off. Note it is also held in place by the caulking around the lense. The lense is held in place by screws found under the chrome piece. Before removing the cover rap it with a screw driver to see if the light comes on. the prongs on the bulb tend to corrode and keep the light from working.
