Chassis opinion?

Hi all
Looking at two coaches
One is a 31' pace arrow on a workhorse chassis with 11k 1998.
Two is a 32 sea breeze on a 2000 ford V10 with 25 k both similar floor plans.
Any opinion on the two chassis.
Both are class A.
Thanks TR.

Is that a workhorse P series chassis? What engine? If yes, I would choose the Ford.

My 1999 P- chassis has a 7.4 engine, so your 1998 should have this also. Nothing wrong with the 7.4, just that the 8.1 came along after 2000.

Something is wrong with the info highlighted above.

Workhorse did not exist in 1998 AND the 8.1L motor was not used until 2001. Is it possible the PA is on a GM/Chevy P32 with the 454 motor?

FWIW, neither of them have "enough" miles on them and I would be concerned about issues caused by lack of use. Suggest you verify what PM service has been like all these years.

also, FWIW, the PA was the top of the Fleetwod line back then, and I think the "seabreeze" was not the top end National product.

I think you'll find the PaceArrow more up scale. I had a P30 chassis and would not have another.

Agree with Ed on this. The first Workhorse chassis was produced in February, 1999 and was a slightly improved version of the Chevy P32 with a 7.4L (454) GM engine. I know of no 1998 coaches with a Workhorse chassis, and only a few 1999's. And none in either year with the 8.1L GM V8 engine, which first came with the W20/W22 chassis in late 2001.

As far as the coach bodies are concerned, the Pace was Fleetwoods top of the line gas model (along with its sister brand, the Southwind), while the Seabreeze was National RVs entry-level gas model (the Dolphin was their top gasser). Equipment and amenities may be very close, though. The Seabreeze delivered great value for the money in that timeframe and an well-optioned Seabreeze was often almost indistinguishable fro the higher ranked Dolphin model.
