check engine light

Bought a 2001 Winnebago journey 32t, 275hp cummings, 5 speed allison. Drove 4 hours home after purchasing no problems. Put in storage for 3 weeks. About a mile fron storage the check engine light came on and almost stalled slowing down in traffic with exhaust brake on. Pulled over shut off, started back up everthing seemed fine. Notcied that with exhaust break on in traffic, always when slowing down, the CEL came on numerousand derated several times on the trip. I shut off exhaust brake on return trip in traffic and had no issues. No CEL while cruising, only braking in traffic with exhaust brake

The best advice that I can offer you is to call 800-FTL-HELP during normal business hours. There will be a certified service technician on the other end of the line that will take your call.
