Chrome Eyelets on Fender Wells

There are 2 eyelets on the passenger (right) side top fender wells. None on the drivers side. They are mounted to flimsy thin fiberglass. I also have the wind sensor on the awning. Are they tie downs for the awning? If so, what happens when it automatically retracts? Will they tear out the fender? Does anyone use them and what for?

Do you have a photo of these eyelets? I seriously doubt that you should tie down an automatic awning.

I'd also like to see photos. They are not on my 35E.

Maybe used to snap a cover on to protect the tires.
