Class A & Good Sams

Does it pay to be a member of Good Sam's with a Class A 44' coach?

I also hear that you can get bombarded with junk mail or has the junk mail issue gone away?

How does Good Sam's differ from FMCA?

I get very little from Good Sam's other than junk mail. That's not quite true...I do get a discount at many RV parks. FMCA is focused on Motorhomes, unlike GS which covers all RV vehicles. Good Sam doesn't offer anything that FMCA doesn't offer other than a discount at Camping World (which may or may not be a good deal )

If I were to only belong to one organization, I would choose FMCA over GS. I do belong to both. Someone else's mileage will, of course, vary.

I recommend GS, I've had it for years. But I would call them and check about the length if you are worried about it. With a GS card you can stay in CW park lots at night.

I would also recommend FMCA over GS. In fact if it weren't for the charter lifetime GS membership we bought years ago I wouldn't bother to belong now.

I stay with Good Sam. Cost isn't much and I can save money in a number of ways.

I am a member of both. I see and get discounts at camp grounds from GS all the time. What am I missing? Are there discounts at camp grounds for FMCA and how do you get them? Ask?

GS membership required for a Pilot card. Cost is not much and since we stop at Pilot some that discount is nice also.

Still we are new to things and have both FMCA and GS.
