Yup, I was amazed. Of course it's lower and you bend a bit but it seemed pretty reasonable. At 5'10'' I wasn't bothered at all. I suppose taller might think a little different. It would be worth seeing one and checking it out if really thinking about it. I would guess you could see it in operation someplace on youtube...

I realize you are looking for a DP with the power loft bed. Ours is gas with a mid door, but the 500 lb rated loft by Thor has some advantages and disadvantages.

Pros
/ Cons

500 lb weight/ Climb a 5 step ladder to get into bed
Storage for Guests/ Thin Mattress (Where we keep air mattress)
Great conversation piece/ Not for quests that may need to go to the
bathroom during the night.

No one has slept in our loft, but it has been very handy to take the made up mattress that we add to the sofabed and store it during the day with our guests. I would not base our purchase on the loft, but it is nice to have. With your door up front you would not want to leave it partially lowered like we do.
Enjoy your search! You will narrow it down.

I looked at most all of them and settled on the Thor Venetian G36. The Palazzo also has it but wasn't enough power and limited slideout room. The Aria and the Venetian are pretty much same basic floorplan, both having front entry door, 4 slides, king master bed and drop down power bunk in front. When the bunk is down, it is kinda difficult to use the front door as you have to duck down but we don't use it that often so ok. Also, the bunk is kinda squirrely when down as it is just hanging on 4 straps. So if you have a restless sleeper, they might make a lot of noise. Also the mattress is not much so we are investing in a very nice thin air mattress for when we need the bunk.
By the way, the primary difference in the Aria and Venetian is the power train. Going form small block to big block (360hp to 380hp but the big block has room to upgrade if you need more power). I pull a 25 box trailer at about 7-8000 lbs and no problems at all.

We have a 2015 Fleetwood Excursion DP with mid-entry door and power loft. I believe Fleetwood dropped the Excursion name in 2017 and the floor plans have been replaced by the Pace Arrow brand. Rick

This looks awesome it's between these and Pace Arrow.
Fleetwood has a West Coast factory center so we're leaning that way.
Not too much desire to travel beyond Colorado.

We brought a 2017 Thor Palazzo 36.1 and it has the power front loft. Our son loves it. We did have to switched out the mattress. The original mattress wasn't firm enough for our 190lb 5'11 boy. So we brought a mattress from amazon that fits very nicely.

I don't see where the OP had a front entry door as a requirement, so I immediately thought of the Winnebago Forza 34 T. But I am interested in checking out the Thor Venetian 36 with the front door and drop down bunk, as we do lose a fair amount of wall space by having the mid-entry door.
