Class A height

I have not measured my coach but the brochure states it is 11' 8". Looking at Newmars site Bay stars are 12' 8".

Is it taller tires and more insulation in the Newmar roof that added the extra foot?

I would verify any brochures statement that could lead to damage
do they include all the add-ons during and after mfg ?

Any number of things between the same model coach can make a difference, much less two different mfg's...

Mine is 12' 10" at the A/C. Tip of radio antenna is a little higher.

Mine came from CC with a sticker by the transmission touchpad that said 13'-0' but a couple of my antennas are higher.

I'm pretty sure that the heights given by the manufacturer were reviewed by at least one attorney prior to publication.

My brochure says ours is 6' 8"or 104". I actually measured it and it was 103". I added 5" as insurance and made a small label to that fact (108") and taped it on my instrument cluster as a reminder.

Combination of design features and consumer demands have pushed overall heights. With a Newmar product two items come to mind. 1. More roof insulation (vent fans set deep into the ceiling) and 2. No raised floor in the cockpit area and a low profile dog house which means a higher floor above the ground (count the steps at the door). Raise the floor and lower the ceiling will reduce you pool of buyers to the more "height challenged" segment of the population so they raised the overall coach height. 13" 6' is pretty much the limit without owners running into problems with height restrictions.

Some of the higher end coaches have increased basement height which leads to more underneath storage and a higher roof height.

I think you may need a new tape measure ... and a new brochure ...

Actually, the specs for a Winny 35F are 6'8" INTERIOR height and 12'5" EXTERIOR height. The EXTERIOR WIDTH is 8' 5 1/2" which is 101 1/2".

The OPs question was ... how tall is a class A RV ?
