I keep up w/ salt flats stuff. Check out link. New Class A record 102.7 mph. No dingy?

I'll bet a race prepped Newell could take them. Strip that baby down to 32,000 lbs and juice up the 12L to 700 hp. 140 mph, no problem.

You'll have to do something about gearing. That big Newell will run out of revs long before it gets to 140.

If I remember correctly, wind resistance increases as the cube (x3) of the speed. I don't think 700HP will overcome the frontal area.
Also, I think the old RV speed record was around 118 MPH, set way back in the 70's by a Ford hot rodder named Ak Miller.
