Class A models with side radiators?

I am in the process of trying to narrow down my list of class As to choose from and several have floorplans I (and the DW) like. I would like to see how many have side radiator arrangements. Can those who own Side radiator ISC units chime in with your specific model?

I know, its a lame way to make the first cut. But its just another metric Im using. It probably won't be a deal breaker, but I would like to have a list just to see if availability and pricing are an option for me.

Most HR, Monaco and Beaver upper price bracket models. Country Coach Magna, Affinity and maybe Intrigue. Travel Supreme. Many other upper level models from various manufacturers.

Our rig is a 300HP C8.3L Cummins with side radiator.

Side radiator is/would be a requirement for me for ease of DIY maintenance.

And im not just hungup on cummins engine options. Cat 3126s are fine also.

Both our Dutch Stars have had side radiators, one on FL chassis with CAT 3126 and now on Spartan with Cummins ISC.

Yep, I have seen some dutch stars that have side rads specifically mentioned. They are certainly near the top of my short list.

We have an 06 Country Coach with a side radiator and for me it is the only way to go. When you open the doors in back you see the motor plus I changed the serpentine belt in less than one minute. Yes you do lose one side bay but worth it also with the IFS it gives you a 50deg turning radius.
You say early/mid 2000 range but what $$$$ range are you thinking of and your location because someone may have a link to a good coach where someone has retired from RVing and has it on the market.

All Alpine Coaches have side radiators, although by 2003 they used the ISL engine.

Re: Location and price range

Well, i am in south tex but am prepared to travel a little to find something. I had been looking for something in the 2000/2002 range bc I wanted to keep my outlay in the mid/upper 40K range. But I know, thats probably not going to be a higher end (and probably wont be to many with side rads) machine with that budget. :-/

it's probably hard to find a country coach in good shape in that price range. doubling your price will do. by the way, mine has a side radiator.

Jimmy, I agree with CountryFit. Finding a 2000 model with side radiator for your price point is going to be very difficult. Most likely you'll need to back up into a 1990's + model. Certainly the side radiator is a plus IMO, but there will be coaches with cats or smaller Cummins in your price point with rear radiators. Do your research, use due diligence, shop, shop, till you drop. Somewhere it's out there. Try PPL. They are a consignment facility in Texas. Best of luck.

In the $40k dollar range it is going to be hard to find what you would call a upper end coach in the early 2000's. For that price you will almost have to go back another 5-7 years to the mid 90's.

In there you will find Dynasty's, some CC and maybe even get into a Foretravel if you are lucky.

Mike.
