Class A question?

Hi there, I would appreciate any input from the vast knowledge base here. I am looking to buy a class A. I have owned one in the past but it was a 1978 Argosy that ate itself at 78k. After spending around 10k to repower with a crate 502, we sold it and purchased a TT. Well, as things go, we decided that we enjoy taking our ski boat with us, going to the ski hill in the winter, and began missing the motorhome. Now the question is, what to buy. I am looking at an 04 Southwind 32v with just under 3k miles. It has the V10. The price is around 12k less than low book as it was a repo. I am hesitant to buy a coach with that low of miles and 8 years old. It appears to be like new in every way. I am concerned about lot rot on the engine seals etc. Please feel free to weigh in as I don't know which way to turn. I also have considered DP, but the cost seems to be my limiting factor. PS. must have a slide......wifes orders....Thanks in advance.

Get an independent inspection to make sure nothing is wrong. I got one that had a bad roof leak than was repaired and masked over. It cost a lot to repair. Engine will probably be fine. Seals are more advance and don't break down as much as they did in the 70s and 80s. But it still is best to run a few times a month.

Things that I have seen go bad from sitting are brake calipers AC from no use and the fridg. So get someone that knows mother homes.

If the price is right you can afford some repairs. In 8 years, how much can go wrong? Maybe some leaking seals and some belts and hoses that dry rotted? And the tires, of course, are probably goners.

Welcome borderjack to irv2.
Here are some recalls on 04 Southwinds and if its a 32vs there is one for the front tires wrong air pressure in tires.
As Gary mentioned the tires, may have dry rot because of age and not many miles driven.

only thing about "repos" is the lack of care/love they seem to have.
