Ours increased 20%. We’re currently looking for an alternative before we pay for the renewal.

Anyone with a recommendation? We’d appreciate the info

We have a policy through USAA and Progressive but USAA only recommends you to Progressive, If I call USAA to speak to a Progressive rep. I get forwarded to Progressive. USAA makes it clear that they are only the referring party.

If you did have an issue directly with USAA I wonder if you can elaborate, I would like to know.

Thanks.

Live on the oregon coast, very famous for our wind storms. Back in 2010, we had one of the fun filled wind storms. Blew the maple tree over and crushed our gazebo and trampoline. Files a $563 claim, my renters insurance went from $40 a month to $81 a month. Then for some reason, they could not explain, my vehicle insurance went up as well. I left them and went to geico, same coverage as I had with usaa, but cheaper.

USAA was too high

We typically go with USAA for all our other coverages (home/auto). Progressive underwrites their ATV policies which we have. But they were almost double the cost of a comparable State Farm policy. I've never used State Farm but my parents had them for their 38' DP and they never hesitated to handle a claim properly.

I just got my renewal for Progressive Insurance. It went up 18%. Going to stay with them because I was pleased with how they handled my claim in 2015.

I have The Hartford on everything including the stuck house. Saved about $1300 over what others quoted for 500,000/250,000 and agreed value on the MH with $1,000 ded.

I just got two quotes last night. National was 1400.00. Progressive was 1800.00. 02 American Eagle full timing. Now I got to read through the fine print.

I just received a renewal from Safeco (replaced my National Interstate), the price is fine, my problem is everything is stated as a Auto Policy.

Thoughts? My National Interstate was a RV policy and stated things like awning replacement, etc. This auto looking policy appears to be open ended.

Switched to National General

As an FYI follow-up, I just switched our RV coverage from Progressive to National General, and ended up with better coverage for $300 less annual premium than if we would have stayed with Progressive. And it's $50 less than our Progressive policy premium was last year! Hoping Flo doesn't have to take too big of a salary cut as a result!

Insurance Change

We have our RV Insurance through National Interstate out of Ohio and just received a letter from them stating they "made a decision to exit the personal lines insurance market". The letter indicated that Liberty Mutual had partnered with them to offer RV insurance. That is all we know at this point. Nearer our policy renewal we'll see what Liberty has to offer.
