Class A Tires

OK...opinions and experiences...
Where have YOU found the best price on Michelin 275/70R 22.5?

If it is between Florida, and Indiana, I will probably stop and get 6!
Have 6 GY's, 5yr old, need to replace, soon!

Thanks in advance!

Hi free-to-roam,
I have the same tires as you. Are you a FMCA member? If so, go to their website and look at the FMCA Michelin Advantage Program. I just saved a considerable amount of $s buy buying through this program.

Last year when we needed towd tires I checked tire pricing along our planned summer trip route. I found tire pricing (on same brands/sizes) in TN about 18-20% less than FL, IN about 35% less than FL, and MI and OH about 15% less than FL. Obviously, we bought in IN. I also priced 22.5" tires and found about the same spread but really will not buy any until later this year. That is what I found last year - good luck with your search.

Ok, free to roam, I-55 exit 91, (Large truck stop across the street) RA Ben Tires, of Scott City Mo., 1-573-334-3022 will sell you 6 new Michelin's XZA 2 Energy 18Ply 275/70 R 22.5's for 4014.00. That is everything, Tax, mounted and balanced the whole nine yards as they say. If you call, ask for Jeff, he has serviced my motor home and these guys are good.
If you take a little detour and come up I-55 to exit 91 and have a visit to Missouri, you will be very pleased with their service.

Tell them Jim Haney sent you. I don't work for them and don't advertise for them, they just do good work at fair prices, so they should be rewarded.
Happy Trails

Costco now has a special order program for 22.5" Michelin tires. The price is very good, but they will not install them.

This thread talks about your exact tire size with lots of pricing...

FMCA Michelin Tire Deal Is Good

Searching these forums is a good thing to do in order to get a more complete answer.... I'd try searching various derivations of your tire size for example...

Costco has the best deal on the XRV 22.5. @ 399.99. I think they will install as long as they have the torque specks

Tires

TCI tire store in Ft Meyers Fl has the ADVANTAGE program. Note it is a Mich Advantage Program. I just got quoted 500 ea for 6 275 R 80 22.5 tires. they didn't know anthing about a fmca PROGRAM. they have two big RV dealers in the area and they have a very good turn over on tres. The tires I looked at were less than 4 months old (mfg date). Strangley i couldn't get anyone other than camping world to quote me on goodyear 670's (over 4,000 bucks for 6 tires). all were H speed rated. good ...shopping ... ed

The FMCA program is better than that. That's almost $700 per tire.

Decision made.Best One Tire, Dayton, Ohio, $495 per tire, plus 44 mount and balance, + 3 to 5 bucks for new stems, about $ 550 per X 6 + $3300
Michelin XZA2 Energy, on the FMCA program. Even with the years dues, still not a bad price.
Appreciate all the input....
THANKS!

$4000 seems way to high. Keep looking.
