Class A Wheel Covers...

Just curious, is it difficult to remove the wheel covers on my 19.5" tires? Reason is I CAN NOT access the outside tire value stem to inflate them as they are set too far inside the wheel covers. I've tried various solutions, all to no avail. I have even considered take a Dremel drill to expand the hole by the tire stem.
Anybody else have this problem?
Thanks! bobby

Have you tried valve extensions? They make several kinds from straight to angled that would bring them well outside the wheel cover.

The chrome wheel covers should have two lug nut covers that screw off and the rest are simply fake. My covers are easily removed by using a rag over the ones that screw off and a channel lock players. The rag protects them from getting scratched. You may also have a tool that can also be used to remove them with. It would have come with the RV or when the chrome covers wear purchased. Regardless, the rag and channel locks probably will work just fine.

It depends on the type and age of the covers. Some, as tedgard01 said, unscrew with the chrome cover in place. Others, like mine, have two chrome nut covers that are pressed on. They pull off and reveal half thickness nuts on the lugs. They are about 1/8" bigger than the lug nuts underneath. Remove the two nuts holding the wheel cover on and the wheel and valve stem will be revealed.

Google Roadmaster tire valve extentions. They work great.

On my MH you unscrew the center and the hub cap falls right off. Very easy, Good luck.

My are made with two chrome covers that are pressed on. Pulled them off and take the lug nut off. If you look very close you can tell the ones that comes off.
