Class A with a garage

Hello everyone.
Does anyone know which manufacturer made a class A DP that had a garage in the back to put a motorcycle or golf cart? I saw one online about a year ago but can't recall who made it, or even what to call it when I try to search for one. Also have you heard any good things or bad things about this set up. I can't believe this is not a more popular design unless there were problems with it.
Thanks, Dave

Newmar made some on a Spartan Chassis. It was the Allstar. They discontinued making the Allstar in 2009/2010. The chassis design had a mid-engine diesel, slightly in front of the rear axle, allowing the rear of the chassis to be adapted to different uses, such as toy hauling, tailgating, and, like ours, a wheelchair lift and rear entry door.

Here is one for sale at Steinbring Motorhomes in Minnesota, where we bought ours. Say hello to Jon for me.

Dave,
you may want t consider a truck conversion like I have. The garage on mine is 8.5 ft. There are some used ones at Eldorado Trailer Sales - Renegade RV Toterhomes

Love ours...

Good luck

There are three gas Class A toyhaulers that I know of, Newmar Canyonstar, Damon Outlaw, and Gulfstream Bounty Hunter.

One of these might be available with a diesel (up front of course).

None would be a DP like you asked about, but might give you some options.

Ed, Spider & Tim Thank You all for the info. This family is the best, there is always someone with the answer and willing to share.
What I'm trying to do is get the most living space and have another mode of transportation without having to drag a car. I hate the thought of not being able to backup without getting out to unhook a toad.

Hi,

I have a 2010 Damon/Thor Outlaw. 37 ft A Class gas with garage in back. A few other folks on the site have them also. While they are primarily made with either Ford or Workhorse chassis, they did and may still make them with a Freightliner diesel. Let me know if you have any questions.

Mike
