I also think that the number of posts that the member shows under their name tells you something about whether they are an active member or just listing to sell. Probably better luck contacting an active member, especially if you do a search for their recent posts, if much time has gone by.
I think you have to have a list of sources you are keeping your eye on, know exactly what you are looking for, have some alternatives, and then jump on it, in particular if priced to sell, which for me means average or below NADA, depending on what you are looking for.
Popular units may command a more middle NADA price, but depends on the need of the seller to sell and whether or not they have clear title, condition, and time on market among other things.
On the other hand, it may be wise to have alternative things to do with your travel time so you are not pushed...rent an rv if you must rv, rent a condo somewhere in the U.S. for a couple of weeks or a month or so, rent a place internationally...a couple of months extended vacation.
If you are like me, a lot of research really opens your mind and I have changed my mind quite a few times, though lately, I'm pretty much zeroed in.
Tremendous amount to learn.
