Clearance lights
I'm replacing the old clearance lights on the front of my 2005 Newmar with the Grote 47183 led's. Looking for a recommendation on what product to use to seal around the lens and the base where it sits on top of the motor home. and any other pointers that may be helpful! Thanks

Clear silicone. I have a new dodge truck 3500 with clearance lights. They leaked. Dealer: use clear silicone... if you bring it to us to fix, we’ll use clear silicone. I guess that sums it up!

Check 3M products, I cannot remember which one but they make one for that need. I resealed with it and no problems.

Clearance lights
I think you'll find a lot of other people that won't recommend silicone. It doesn't hold up well to UV and it's hard to remove and get something else to stick when it fails.
DAP Dynaflex 320 comes in colors and clear and seals well. That's what I used and it's holding up well. Water cleanup.

Well yep, there are some folks that don't like or won't use Silicone but, I've used it outside on many applications for decades and it's always held up just fine. One of important points is ultra clean prep. And in some cases, some scuffing is applicable. And, as a SEALER for the OPs new lights, it will work flawlessly. After all, it's only being used as a gasket in that application I would think.

I replaced the front and rear on my old DS about 5-6 years ago. Sealed with Marine Grade Silicone and they were 100% sealed when I sold it.
I ran a good 1/4" bead around the back of the light, installed it with the two screws and tightened it down evenly on both sides so the silicone was just beginning to squeeze out. Cleaned the excess and let them sit overnight. Snugged the screws and that was it.

Clearance lights
Newmar has a list of recommended sealants. I had to replace one of my rear clearance lights on my 2005 Newmar and used Geoseal ProFlexRV. This stuff worked good and will provide a proper seal. Depending on how much wire you pull from the coach, you will need to fill and reseal the end cap.

Thank you all for your recommendations! I'm sure they will all work well. I'm going to go with Geocel 2300 MHRV. I will let you know what I think of the product. Thanks again!
