Coach batteries not charging

We just bought our first class a, a 1998 Damon Intruder M349. The price was right and the miles were great! It had 6 brand new Michelins and new batteries. We received every little instruction about the coach. However we did receive every manual and installation guide the original purchasers received. It is quite the huge binder.

My DH noticed the coach batteries are not charging when the engine is running. I read the huge binder. I found a reference to some mini breakers on the drivers side riser wall. What is a riser wall ? They take and hold a charge using the electric charger or generator.

Glad to have you here with us.
A riser wall , would be another name for the firewall , or the vertical board at the front edge of the floor, in front of the drivers feet. Could be on the inside or under the hood.
Do you know what chassis your coach is built on. Freightliner ?
I hope the location is as described and you find your problem.

For a coach of your vintage you could have a alternator out put splitter; sometimes called a dual battery isolator; similar to the one in the picture below. This unit contains diodes that allows the charge from the alternator through but , won't allow the two sets of batteries to interconnect. Trace the heavy wire from the alternator to the batteries to see if there is one of these mounted in the circuit.
