Coach-Net vs Good Sam - what am I missing

Have had a Platinum coverage road side assistance plan from Coach Net for the last three years. Sold our motorhome in August, cancelled the remainder of the policy but and taking delivery on another motorhome in a couple of days. Called to Coach Net for new coverage and was told they only have one plan and it would be $249 a year. I called Good Sam and got their Platinum plan for a discount price of $79 a year. Am I missing something here?

Not to jack thread, but will either of them provide coverage for a older 10 year + coach?

Yes they will, I just went over to Coach Net this spring after being with GS for 8 years.........3 years/$416.00.
GS would no longer cover my enclosed trailer............Coach Net does........must be getting very poplar with a increase like that
Or a lot of break downs are happening??

Just saw the $249 on their website ....odd, when I logged into my account and looked at my renewal price, they show my rate as $149 for Premier ($79) for basic.

When I renewed my Coach Net membership, I too was surprised at the advertised price. I called them and was given my previous plan at a much more reasonable price.

An aside, in many locations both Coach Net and Good Sam use the same people to respond to a member in distress.

Coach-Net vs Good Sam - what am I missing

I just saw the $249 on the website as well, while my renewal is $149. I think they seriously discount for certain member affiliations, like FMCA, etc.

In any event, I wouldn't recommend Good Sam-- too many bad reports. I tried dual coverage a few years ago, just for the comparison. The first time I called GS they refused to tow, insisting on an onsite repair. I called CoachNet and cancelled GS.

I just renewed my CoachNet "Basic" plan for 3 years for a total of $223. I don't see the Basic Plan offered on their website. Maybe I am Grandfathered in since I am a Grandfather

I just checked my renewal online with Coach-Net (even though we are good through 4/17) and it shows $79 for 1 year basic and $237 for 3 years, and $149 for 1 year Premium and $447 for 3 years.
I have been seeing scuttle about the cost increase on another forum as well so I'm not sure what's going on.
