Coach won't start!!

My 2013 Zephyr won't start. All the panel lights come on when I turn the key on. When I turn the key to start the Isl cummins 500 the panel lights go out but the engine does not turn over. All the chassis batteries are at full charge and the coach batteries are at full charge. Using the switch the borrow voltage from the coach batteries does nothing to help. I have reset the air brake and have shifted the transmission out of neutral into drive and back to neutral. Still no engine turn over. I crawled under the coach and tapped the starter and maybe the solenoid. Still no joy. The coach is on the Spartan K2 frame. HELP.

You are under Spartan/Cummins warranty give them a call. Could be in the starter/solenoid, a ground issue, or in the ingnition switch. Several things need to be checked.

Did some more volt meter checks and found out one of my chassis batteries was only putting out 2 volts.. Brand new battery was no good. Put jumper cables from Jeep to bad coach battery and BINGO!! Will trade out bad battery today.

You may have more than one problem. Keep an eye on the voltage on the new battery to be sure it is getting charged properly when running and when off and using shoreline or generator.

Two volts is a bit stunning and the battery or connection must have cratered. Using the Boost start may have an issue but overcoming that 2 volts it may not have stood a chance. Make sure you tighten every cable connection in sight and check the wires on the negative lead at the frame.
