Coachmen

I know this is an entry level but for a 1st timer it fits my budget. 2008 Miranda 310 DS. Is it worth looking at.

Our first motorhome was a Class C, no slides. It was a good starter coach, we learned how deal with no inverter, limited water capacities, limited storage, and very limited living space. BUT it worked for us and we got a lot of use out of it.

After ~10 years we started looking for a DP and ended up with our Windsor.

If this coach fits your budget and is in good condition there is nothing wrong with a starter coach.

I bought a new Santana in 1995 and never had to take it back for work. It was trouble free for many miles.

If it has 2 slides that's great, provides more living space etc.

I would do some research on this model of coach and look for big deal problems. Do you have friends that have Class A's that can help inspect. Test all components etc.

As a ~7 year old coach you have lots of negotiating leverage going into winter. I'd research what the going price is "realistically" the asking price is usually much more. You should be able to get a great deal.

Buying a used coach, provided it has been taken care of, is an excellent way to start, especially if you can't use the coach that much because of work etc. A new one will depreciate quickly. Later, if you think you will get value out of it you can trade up to a bigger better coach.

Good Luck.
