I'll just keep my money in the bank until I need it for a repair, and hope it's not an engine or transmission!
That is what I do! Keep your money and furthermore you repair your RV where you want and when you want. No waiting for someone else to approve the repair.

Actually Coach-Net is now offering a "Protect Suite" of products and services for the traveler to choose from for whatever protection needs they may have.

Below is a Press Release dated back in 2013. That's when Coach-Net introduced a package of protection products and services that would be available from participating dealers which could be RV dealers and insurance companies.

Obviously the most talked about one which has been discussed here many times over is the Coach-Net Emergency Roadside Service.

However they now offer 7 different Protection programs.

As with any insurance type plan or warranty type plan you MUST read the entire document to learn what is specifically covered and more importantly what is NOT covered.

Coach-Net has unveiled its full line of Coach Net Protect Suite products, designed to “provide peace-of-mind for customers and a valuable offering that RV dealers’ finance and insurance offices can share with buyers.”

According to a press release, the new Protect Suite product line, available exclusively through participating dealers, will be featured at the 2013 RV Dealers International Convention/Expo, Sept. 30–Oct. 4 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Coach-Net representatives can be found at Booth No. 321 from Oct. 1–3.

Products in Coach-Net’s Protect Suite include the following:

• Roadside Protect: The cornerstone of the Protect Suite, providing 24/7 RV technical and roadside assistance and other benefits through Coach-Net’s premier membership plans, which provide all-inclusive coverage for RVs and other personal vehicles owned, rented, borrowed or leased.

• RV Protect: An extended service contract available for both towable and motorhome owners that protects members from unexpected repair costs.

• Asset Protect: A gap waiver option for customers, which closes the financial gap in coverage when total-loss insurance payouts are less than the outstanding loan balance.

• Hazard Protect: A comprehensive tire and wheel hazard protection that covers all types of new and used recreational vehicles from common road hazards such as metal, nails, screws, potholes, glass and debris, with terms available from one to seven years.

• Certified Pre-Owned: A product through which dealers can have their used inventory certified for reliability and quality, increasing the marketability and value of dealers’ used inventory, and through which consumers will receive a 90-day service contract protecting their investment.

• Finish Protect (coming soon): A product offering protection for RVs’ interior and exterior surfaces, including protection of paint and gel coats, interior fabrics, interior leather and vinyl, and optional protection against rips, tears, punctures and burns.

• Shield Protect (coming soon): A product that will provide coverage of glass replacement and repair, including windshields, windows and other RV glass.

“This comprehensive line of products demonstrates our steadfast commitment to providing peace-of-mind solutions for dealers and consumers,” said Dan Lopez, vice president of Coach-Net sales. “For participating dealers, the Coach-Net Protect Suite provides a benefit by adding a dedicated and trusted RV industry partner to their F&I department, while also helping them deliver a valuable set of product offerings to their buyers who want to enjoy the RV lifestyle with complete confidence.”

Coach-Net is currently enrolling RV dealers nationwide who wish to participate in the Protect Suite program. For more information, visit Home Page - Coach-Net.com.

I was angry when I wrote the original comment. I should not have done it. I would just like to inform a few individuals, that I can read English quite well. I know what I purchased and I know what I was promised. I used my warranty last year to replace the cooling unit of my refrig and the complete backup camera and monitor system. Those items alone saved me half of the cost of the RV Protect warranty. I paid nothing at the time of the work. I did; however, lose 5 weeks while the RV was in the shop waiting for various WarranTech approvals.
I have found it interesting that so many folks here on IRV2 are very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. You are truly good people. While there are a few folks that are not helpful. Unfortunately, you don't know who you are.

I think sometimes forum members feel posters complain about things without foundation. In your case it was a warranty issue that was not covered due to "diagnostics" not being covered. I'm guessing that is spelled out in your policy. Sounds like you did you pretty good on the other items that were covered so not a total loss.

When it comes to ESP's, all I can do is relate our experience. We bought an XtraRide Policy 4yrs. ago. And in that time we've had the ball joints replaced, front wheel bearings, refrigerator replaced with a residential, one Penguin 1500w heat pump, and a Magnum 2800w PSW inverter. And each time all we paid was the $100 ded. To say the least it's more than paid for itself, and there's still 10mos. left on the policy, which is fully transferrable to the buyer of our coach. I'll be using it to make sure the coach is in tip top shape for the new owner.

I agree with MSHappyCampers. They want you to fall into the loopholes so they don't have to pay. I stuck my RV in my farm front yard, "OH NO you have to be off your property for roadside assistance to come out".
If I had an extended warranty it would have cost me 2 trips at 110 miles each way to get service for a rear camera that went out. I did it myself for $10 USPS.
To date I'm $10k ahead not having an ext. warr. It's sitting in my acc't not there's.

I have the road service with CN and have used them several time for towing. Always I have received A1 service and just yesterday called to tow my car to shop because would not start. I was able to start called them back to stop tow truck, which was already dispatched and they stopped the tow truck.

I have successfully used Coachnet last year when I was stranded with my levelers stuck engaged with my coach up in the air. They sent someone out and they knew exactly how to fix it. This year I renewed my roadside service with them and also purchased their RV protect ESP since my factory warranty was over. The price was very competitive and way lower than some. The plan I have is partnered through Winnebago and is their Ultimate plan with the Luxury package and for my unit it was only $2500 for the 5 year 60K mile plan. It is supposed to cover every thing and using a Winnebago for repairs the deductible is only $150. I guess time will tell how it works out but $500 a year for piece of mind sounds good to me. I'll let you all know how it works out if and when I need to use it.

That sounds like a great deal. I'd do that too if I could for that kind of money.

I may be reading too much into what the OP stated, but it sounds like he tried to use both products at the same time to fix his coach. He called roadside assistance and asked them to come out and do a repair.

Typically, the roadside assistance is to fix a flat, provide fuel or tow you to a safe place. The OP wanted items fixed on the coach when the coach didn't need roadside assistance or a tow.

I'm guessing the OP should have taken his coach to a shop for diagnosis and approval for repair. Again, I may be wrong, but I think he tried to use one product, Roadside Assistance, to get someone out to fix something that should have been taken to a repair facility.

Agree with the others - the reason for the labor charge is that it was a "no trouble found", one of several "dirty little secrets" in most extended warranty plans.

As for Coach-Nets involvement, they are just an agent or broker. Yeah, it's a bummer that they can't help you in a disute, but that's the way these things work. You would have had the same problem if you bought it through a dealer or some other agency, They all defer to the company who is hired to manage the claims. Even WarranTech may not be the actual insurer behind the plan, but their policy interpretation is the final word (unless you choose to sue them for breach of contract).

I'll also agree with MrUSA14: the coverage may start at the front bumper and extend to the rear, but it sure ain't 100%, Or even close. That proverbial Prevost will blow on through without even scraping the paint!

Most recently, we spun out on black ice and jammed the front bumper into the tire, disabling the truck. It wasn't an ERS situation but CN dispatched a tow truck when we couldn't reach our insurance company. CN told us that we would have to pay the tow charges out of pocket and we were fine with that. CN even called back in an hour to make sure the tow truck had arrived.

I don't know about NMC but CN has been an outstanding value for us and we would not change anything based on one report from a disgruntled customer. YMMV.
There is a long thread of CoachNet disgruntled customers on another rving forum.
