I have 3 scan tools. I use them on all of my vehicles for various reasons. When I'm in the motorhome they are with me there.

My observations based on the 3 I have.

Autometer Dashlink. $150. Wireless Ap based. Great display with very nice looking gauges and full customization. Very limited data acquisition for GM vehicles especially the Workhorse chassis. It does not monitor very many parameters on GM vehicles. I was promised lots more data available in the future from Autometer techs but so far nothing has materialized. Looses connectivity often. Reads and clears codes is about all it does well. Very disappointed.

Blue Driver. $100 Wireless Ap based. Display on Aps is fair. Gauges are smaller and not that easy to read while driving. Reads most available GM data even on the Workhorse. Loses connectivity periodically but not nearly as bad as the Autometer. Reads and clears codes well. Not as pretty as the Autometer but way more functional. Reasonably satisfied.

Scangauge II with X-Gauge Commands. $150. Hardwired with display. Easy to program. Pulls all available data from GM ECU's including the Workhorse. I can monitor over a dozen critical engine and transmission parameters. Reads and clears codes well, even while driving. The display is kind of small. I can only monitor 4 parameters at once. Easy to read in any lighting. Very satisfied.

I will likely buy another SG2 and mount it above my existing SG2. Being able to monitor 8 critical engine/transmission parameters at once will be nice.

It's OK for reading and clearing codes on my Android cellphone. I have one in my Lexus and one in my granddaughter's chevy pickup truck.

I have an UltraGauge for more serious trouble shooting but this wireless one stays connected and is out of the way.
