Coleman A/C wiring

Hi folks!
I have removed the inside cover from my forward A/C unit (to paint it) and see that I have one set of wires disconnected. the unit works OK. The wires are smaller in size with yellow and red insulation each. The two connectors, one end male and one female, would connect if I plugged them in. Does anyone know what these do?

I have a solar panel on the roof and was wondering if that was the connection. The Solar Panel "charging" light has been removed from the A/C housing by a prior owner. I think I'll put the volt meter on it and see what happens.
