Compressed Air source

Just received my VIAIR Ultra air system and was wondering where you all have your compressors and tanks installed. VIAIR tech support said I could mount it under the coach and weather would not hurt it??? I will be installing a quick connect in all 4 wheel wells for tire inflation and air access at all four corners of MH. Any pictures or suggestions are appreciated.

Don't think I would run to all four corners. Maybe front rear. Short run to each corner that way and the towed. I Don't have my compressor mounted as I use it all around . If needed and maybe not right next to the RV.

You picked up a nice compressor
Expect it's the 100% continuous duty unit
I did not bother with outlets at all four corners
Thought about it early on but decided not to
Installed a 5 gallon holding tank on the main frame rail tucked up inside
Compressor inside the storage bin used for solar equipment right behind the entry door
Added an external cooling fan actually blower motor assembly for the compressor - heat destroys things quickly and always have the door open when running the compressor

Two plumbed air outlets - one regulated adjustable 20 to 70psi - one straight from the compressor set to 150-psi(*). A few air hoses 25ft each with a barrel connection if need be easily reach anywhere I have ever had a need. Use the thing at least every other day camping

They draw a lot of current - make sure you have a high current continuous duty solenoid between the compressor and the battery plus a direct connection to the house battery bank.

Check the high pressure cut off switch - I believe that thing has a really high psi cutoff and bouncing around in the rig hoses come loose etc.. I lowered the high pressure cutoff and have a manual jumper (be careful) if need to bypass to get over 110psi if needed only used the bypass once or twice in the past 6 years.

I'm looking for one where did u get yours. I found that you can order online at Home Depot I think that is what I will do. Looks like the model 400RV should be the one to order?

The higher number of separate runs you have the higher chance of leaks.

I don't have a separate compressor on my rig but do have a connector for hose if needed. It is located in the front in the event I have to be towed. It can be used to inflate tires (marginally since the governor doesn't keep tanks much above 110 psi). I also carry a smaller compressor that I can use but I have to jump it out to get higher pressure.

I looked at the system, looks good.

Good Luck and let us know how the install went.
