I wouldn't try to 'get away' with anything when it comes to tires. Bite the bullet but first make sure you're reading the date correctly. Take it to a tire store.

Be sure before spending the money.

If the tires are old, new steering axle tires are imperative, and a blow-out in the rears could be less dangerous, obviously. But unless you have steel wheel-wells in the rear, flying thread can cause expensive damage to the under-body and adjacent bins.
Repairs to 1988 vintage rig would be a "heavy lift" for parts.

Thanks everyone for trying to help with the date issue . I will be scheduling for new tires. If the out come is in my favor great if not I will be replacing all the tire;s I would rather be safe then sorry I can replace tire;s not my loved one's Thanks again

The DOT date code on the sidewalls of your front tires means that those 2 tires were manufactured during the 11th week of 2014.
