Considering buying 2000 Beaver Patriot Concord

Hi. We are considering buying our first RV motorhome we are looking at a 2000 Beaver Patriot Concord coach with 95000 miles, what should we be looking for? We are in Florida
Here are some specs 33” long, 330 Caterpillar3126B Turbo Charged Diesel Pusher, Allison MD-3000 Six Speed Transmission with Magnum Eight Air Bags Chassis, Onan Generator, Hydraulic Leveling System, 2000-Watt Inverter and Hurricane Heater.
Our 2nd choice would be 1997 Beaver Patriot 37”.
We have noticed they are priced well above NADA average retail price listing, is this normal? NADA Low Retail $26,500 Average Retail is $31,950.
How much above average retail do you pay for 2000 Beaver Patriot in excellent condition /garage kept? Any thoughts or comments are apricated.
Thank you!!!

my Choice for engines, below average for mileage, make sure maintenance schedule was followed and if not sure do everything, transmission filters and fluid, oil filter and recommended oil, full lube job and above all change both fuel filters and check for algae in fuel tank.

Hopefully, some of these previous Beaver questions and posts may shed light on what to look for and on what things you should make your decision.

Check PPL motorhome dealer for prices and supposed to be a way to check what their and consignment used rigs sold for.

My only advice is get a professional inspection. You could be good to go or have a complete cluster on your hands.

Beavers are quality coaches and it's not surprising that they command top dollar in the resale market even at 20 years. We have a 2000 Beaver Patriot Thunder which was quite a bit fancier than the Patriot and has a 12 liter C-12 with an Allison 4000 transmission. We currently have an agreed value policy from Progressive for ~$70k which is renewable at that level for another 8 years, so that gives you at least one comparison data point.

Thank you everyone for the information and suggestions. They wanted too much over NADA average retail about $16,000 more. I’ll keep looking, Thank you.
