Coolant for c13

I need to change a hose and flush my radiator and am not sure about the correct brand or amount of coolant to refill. Does anyone have this info? I don't believe there is a cat dealer open on the weekend or I would go there.
Thanks

What part of the country are you in. Do you have and Empire Truck shop in your area? They handle Cat products. that is were i got my coolant from. Not sure how much your engine holds. If you don't have your manuals do as I did catch the coolant in a container and put back the same amount. When you flush your system my manual states to do your last flush with distilled water.

I'am in Texas near Tyler. I don't believe we have an Empire Truck stop. I have a gallon of Cat coolant but I was told by a Cat Fleet mechanic that they did not use this type anymore (it is about 4 years old red in color). He couldn't very well recommend another brand other than Cat. I don't have a problem buying their products only I want to get this done now and would rather drive two miles and buy locally than drive thirty. Guess I'm getting lazy!

Its is amazing that Fleet mechanics don't have the same story. The shop mechanic and Manager both told me that is what they use when doing a coolant change. So i bought 10 gallons of the Cat 50/50 mix. It is red in color. Not sure what to tell you to do. I have read a lot about changing coolant and Cats require coolant with the SCA's and the ELC type gives you a longer change period. Let us know what you do and how you make out.
