cooling system capacity

I have a 1997 HR Imperial 40WDS with the C8.3l engine. I am ready to flush the cooling system and replace the coolant with Fleetguard ES Compleat OAT and the coolant filter with no additive (DCA's). My question is how many gallons of antifreeze do I need? I am going to use the 50/50 mix. I was told around 6-10 gallons by my local Cummins dealer. Of course, Monaco is closed until the 2nd, should have done my homework before this. What has been your experience?

Hello, 3 gallons just in the 8.3. Mine is a side radiator and it took around 10 gallons total. You might want to replace the thermostat and surge tank radiator cap while you are doing this maintance.
