cost of gas millage

if i am getting 7mpg at 3.00 a gal what would it cost to go 1120 miles

Welcome to the forum!

I'm pretty familiar with those numbers since that's about the mileage I get.

If you divide $3.00 per gallon by how many miles it will carry you (7) you get around 43 cents per mile. Multiply that by the miles you plan to travel (1120) and you get something around $480.
