Country Coach Step problem

Hi...just returned from our first venture with this 99 CC Intrigue and the step retracted when starting the motor (as it should) and will not come back out when opening the door... Checked all fuses, switches and have great information with the motorhome but no diagram for wiring and cannot manually extend the steps back out to look underneath. Any advise?

Have you verified whether or not you are getting power to the step motor? There is a linkage that if worn it may pop off on occasion. If you are getting power and nothing is moving, that linkage may be worth a look.

Make sure the switch for the step is turned on. Then check for power. Cuts down on the time you might have to crawl around under the coach

The ignition retrieval function overrides the switch status. As said above be sure step switch is in the on position

Make sure the step switch is not disconnected. Ours was.

Thanks for the info...will pass on to husband when he gets back from the park....he works in Yellowstone Park so we are trying to fix in the little bit of time he is back in town. So any input is appreciated.

Yes...the switch is in the on position. We drove over 3 miles of gravel road and something jiggled loose we are guessing.
Our manual is missing page so 699 so the diagram is gone and yes it is getting power. We tested with a tester...Hubby is an electrician. Was hoping someone had a diagram of the wiring. It appears the previous owner possibly knicked one of the wires to check power at one time so we are trying to make sure the wiring is correct.

Thanks and anything else you can think of I will pass onto him...we have been trying to download a manual online and not having any luck...

Have you tried emailing the manufacturer? I have gotten a number of digital manuals, parts lists, diagrams... By emailing the various makers.
