Cracked Corian Sink
Noticed a wet spot under the kitchen sink and after some investigation, found a small crack about 2" long on the bottom of the Corian Sink. 
Has anyone run into this and done a repair?
I thought I might take my Dremel and gouge it out and fill with an Epoxy.
Any comments?

If its the sink take it out an put another one in. If its the counter top call Newmar and ask how to fix it. or maybe there is a corian dealer in you area call them.

Yes, the obvious real fix is to replace the sink. But, that is easier said than done. The whole Kitchen Counter Top has to be removed as the sink is under the Corian Top.
Have contacted DuPont for a dealer and waiting for a reply. In the meantime thought I might pose the question to our irv2 field of experts.
Postponing the inevitable but thought it might buy me a year or so.

If it is real Corian then call a dealer and see what they can do. Real Corian is amazing stuff and highly repairable. Don't attempt to fix it yourself unless you have no other option. My home kitchen and bath countertops have seams that can't be seen.

Yep, it's fixable, find a shop and have them fix it. Ours are all fine but others have had cracks and had them fixed.

Perhaps you might be able to tint the epoxy to make it blend , till you are able to get to
a suitable shop.

I called the Canadian Corian Distributor who put me in touch with their Western Dealer who basically said it can't be done. The Newmar Dealer also says it can't be done.
So I am going to go back to my original idea to make a fine cut into the crack, scoop up some of the cuttings to mix into the Epoxy for colour and fill the crack. If and when it fails again, I'll get serious. I'll let you know how it turns out......

I may make some dealer mad, but Corian can indeed be repaired. When we built my daughter's house there was a crack in the counter and the cabinet maker came out and repaired it. Some sort of glue or epoxy and sanding with several grades of sandpaper and you cannot find where the crack was. If both are Corian, I see no difference in repairing a sink and a countertop but then I am not a cabinet maker

I agree. I've had two separate Corian cracks repaired. Pretty quick job with the right tools and skills ... and the repair are invisible. \ken
