Cruise and Air Horn won't work

I have a 2011 Damon Tuscany that the cruise and air horn won't work occasionally. Both are tied together because their either both working or not. Sometimes I have to shut the rig off in order to get the cruise button to come back on after doing this sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Or if it is working and I have to apply the brakes it won't come back on on even though the dash cruise light is on when this happens the air horn won't work either. Any thoughts?

Are These both steering wheel controls, When they fail do other steering wheel functions fail, mine has wiper controls on wheel for example? If so, I would start troubleshooting the wheel "ring" and controller.

If you do have the smart wheel , the I would venture you have a " clock spring " failure . The clock spring is a coil of flat wiring that is the electronic link from the switches to the control box at the base of the steering column, the wiring coils and uncoils as the steering wheel is turned; so after any corner contact can be broken or re-connected.

Thanks for the response.
This may have been a problem since factory as I noticed since the cruise quit working now my exhaust brake light comes on and it never did before.
I believe it must be a smart wheel as the control buttons are on the left hand side of the steering wheel.
