Cruise control question 2016 Tuscany 40bx

Our motorhome is built on the Freightliner XCR chassis and has a Cummins ISB XT motor. The cruise control operates different than cars I've driven. When the cruise control is turned off or if the engine is turned off the cruise control unit remembers the last speed setting so that if you turn it on or start the engine hitting resume position, the motorhome goes to the last set speed. To avoid this you have to hit the set button and it goes to that setting. I've spoken to Freightliner who directed me to Cummins. Cummins had no definitive answer if that is the correct function.

Has anyone else observed this with their motorhome? Is it normal?

Thanks,
Ed

Correct, that's how it works.

You can see that as a cruise set speed gauge, if you have Silverleaf VMSpc

Thanks, I feel better that it is functioning correctly. Kind of disappointed I couldn't get an answer from Freightliner or Cummins.
