Cubby Door Opens on the Road

Every so often one of our cubby doors will open while on the road. It is usually when we go over uneven roads, so the doors must be flexing. It is not the same door every time, and I have checked the latches. I've tried bending the U-shaped metal that makes up the latch, but it still happens. I tug on each door latch to ensure they are locked before we travel.

We are in a 2008 National Pacifica. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

The U-bolt should have four nuts, two in the back and two in the front. The front ones may be covered by rubber insulation. You adjust those screws to move the U-bolt into the proper position to hold the latch tight...and always lock the bays before going down the road.
