Cummins 400 oil filter...$243

Just had my coach serviced at a diesel truck shop. Pleased with the service but.....my oil filter alone cost $243 (according to the itemized receipt). I read posts about how Speedco supposedly can do a complete oil change for that same amount....do they use $24 filters? Should I use $24 filters??

If You paid $243.00 for a single Oil Filter you need your head examined ! Was that for the entire Oil Change ?
You should only use Fleetguard or Wix Filters !

$243 for an oil filter.........wow. I never ever thought that an engine oil filter could cost that much. I buy my ISB oil filters from Cummins at about $34 I think. Just out of interest, I would give Cummins a call and check pricing. I do however change my own oil and filters.

4 hours labor but had them doing other things as well so hard to know what the actual oil change cost. Price of oil was reasonable

Wow, I just input my engine serial number in the Cummins app. My ISL 350 oil filter should be a LF 9003. Amazon price on sale $38.00

I'm going back Monday to clarify this filter cost. Maybe it wasn't the oil filter.....this engine has a bunch of filters!

Are you sure it wasn't an air filter?

Sounds pretty steep even for an air filter. I replaced mine this year and it cost 145 delivered. Try Filterbarn for the oil, fuel, coolant filters. I bough oil, 2 fuel, coolant, 2 Onan oil, 2 Onan fuel, and some misc farm equipment filters. 135 delivered. All Fleetguard.
