Cup holder console suggestions??!

Hey gang!

I have a 35' Thor Residency Class A...and I have NO cup / drink holders or storage at all in a console form for either driver or passenger.

That, is a problem for me! Hot coffee in my lap is not a desired outcome!

Is there some wall mounted cup holder(s) storage piece (I have flat flush walls by the driver, or an awesome console with cup holders and organizer space that could fit on top of the Ford 460 motor "hump" cover between the driver and passenger?! Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Cheers!

I want to see the replies to your post. The cup holders in my console are so short I would not trust it to support anything taller than 4".

I built new driver and pasenger consoles to replace the originals under the windows by each seat. The boxes are baltic birch plywood upholstered to match the dash. The tops are natural cherry with a hand-rubbed oil finish. I ordered cup holders from Amazon. They have quite a selection.

No reason you couldn't do something similar and attach it to the top of the doghouse.

There should be a reply somewhere in IRV2 with pictures of mine.

We bought one very similar to this one and mounted it to the wall. It works great!

On vehicles I had years ago that didn't come with cup holders like they do today, I use to use the same one that "MSHappyCampers" posted. They come in two sizes. The larger model will fit large drink cups and coffee mugs. The smaller holds a single soda can. When not in use, they flip up and look nice. They also come in a few different colors.

Hello firedog: I found some plastic cup holder at an auto parts store, Advance, Pep Boys etc. that have a flat hook on top, I cut the hook off and mounted them with a screw. They are inexpensive, a dollar or so.

We had a similar situation...did this:
OUTLAW Mods and Easy Fixes

Didn't want anything on top of the dog house blocking egress...shopped for mini-van console. Inexpensive, plentyful, easy to remove for cleaning or packing, and have tons of storage space for an otherwise unused space in our RV.
The rear cup holders are great for when the seats are turned-around too.

Safe travels

When bought our '13 Winnebago Vista 35f didn't notice that it had no driver/passenger cup holder/book rack. Designed and made the units in the pics. Wanted to use walnut wood to go with the dash wood, but it was very expensive. Next project is to make a unit over the dog house.

Hi firedog,
Consider this as a quick and cheap solution for the cup holder. I have this in the cockpit for the driver:"
Cup Holder At Each End Of Couchs - iRV2.com RV Photo Gallery
Cup Holder Open - Located At The End Of Each Couch - iRV2.com RV Photo Gallery
It screws into position or industrial Velcro will hold it nicely.
