Custom Bunk

Anyone familiar with the new salon bunk option in the Sportscoach 404RB? I'm looking for a higher end coach with family friendly sleeping arrangements. It is difficult to retrofit most coaches with bunks because of the footprint required, but it seems like this salon bunk would be a possible solution. I would love to know if I could retrofit this type of bunk into a DutchStar 4369, or something similar. I suppose for the right price anything is possible.

It looks like this arrangement blocks the use of both the table and couch.

Unless you are trying to sleep 5 people here you may as well convert table into a bed and if is isn't already replace the couch with a a hide-a-bed.

It's a drop down bunk in the down position. Here is a picture in the raised position. Yes, I'm looking for maximum beds for kids and friends.

I'm not sure I understand why they did it this way.

Both the dinette and sofa become beds in mine. I have a drop down bunk as well but it is in front, over the driver and passenger area.

Did this coach have that as well?

If you don't have a drop down bunk in front I would suggest you look at that first. You may be able to install it yourself.

We just bought a 2016 Georgetown 364TSF that has 6 beds and 2 full baths. Check that out if you need a lot of sleeping area. Maybe you can find a similar floor plan in a Berkshire or other coach.

I think if you want that set up you should find a good fabricator and get started. I saw someone on this site that converted a closet into a couple of bunks. I would be a little concerned about the extra weight in the slide. Why not something over the front seats? We bought an add-a-room for the outside and stack the people up there. I even thought of towing a tent trailer. Let your imagination run and do whatever you want. Keep us posted.
